VIC Swimmers

The Vienna International Center swimming club caters for swimmers of intermediate to advanced level. The activities organised by the club include:

Lunchtime Swims and Monthly Workshops

The lunchtime swims take place on Monday/Wednesday/Friday in one of the agreed locations.

The club holds workshops/swim clinics with a focus on technique. We try to have them twice a month, where we provide an experience couch. The session is one hour long and an extra fee applies: non-members €20 / members €10 + entry to the pool. The club rents a lane, where applicable.

The training process not only makes us stronger physically and mentally, but also helps us to prepare for the annual United NationsΒ Inter-Agency Games. The IAGs 2024 in Lloret de Mar concluded in October 2024. Some photos from the event are in the VIC Swimmers photo album, and the main portion will hopefully be available on the official website soon.

Check our Training Program and Locations pages to know more.

There is also a fresh announcement of the next coming 50th games on UNIAG Instagram and Facebook pages. The anniversary games will take place in Rennes, France from 14 to 18 May 2025. Do subscribe to organisers socials to keep yourself aware!

Open water swimming (Summer) and Get-togethers

The distance is 1-2 km (depending on ability), in deep water. We go to various locations in the Alte Donau and Neue Donau, as soon as the weather allows it. The upcoming open water swims will be additionally announced on our News page.

As a welcome package to your membership status, you will receive not less than the relaxing get-togethers after training sessions, annual Summer/Christmas gatherings and participation in other ad-hoc sport events.

If you would like to join, please check our Membership page.
