The VIC Recreation Committee organizes the second VIC Clubs Day this year. The VIC Swimming Club is registered to participate in the VIC Clubs Day on 29 October 2025 (12:00-14:00) at the Rotunda!

How members of the VIC SC can support?

• Please contact the ExCom if you would like to help to promote the Club on October 29 📝
• Work on design of the flyer or share ideas on how to better attract new members! 🔊
• Consider bringing your swimming trophies or equipment for stand decoration 🏆
• Pass by on the day of the event to say “Hi!” to your teammates at the table! 🙌

On Clubs Day:

• In the morning, BMS will set up the tables, chairs, and boards (1 table, 2 chairs, and 1 board per club).
• Our club name will be displayed on the board.
• We can begin arranging our stand from 11:30 and should leave before 14:00.
• We can bring our trophies and display any decoration we have
• Music may be played at a reasonable volume, and demonstrations are allowed as long as they do not pose risks or disturb staff members in the Rotunda.

Dear Swimmers,

This is a brief update with the information on the upcoming event in Vienna in February. All the details are here: VIVA – Vienna Valentine.

As you have probably seen in the group chat “IAG 2024 SWIMMING” – Organizers have confirmed that swimmers do NOT need to be registered with a club in their country or have a licence to compete.  They have further confirmed that if there is interest, we could form relays and swim all together under one ‘Team UN.’

We are organizing another summer party/swim/dinner in Zum Straba, and we would like you to choose a day that is most convenient for as many of us as possible.

Some of us will be swimming there, and you may join us if you’d like to. The route is below; we’ll meet by the U1 station, just outside the UN, and walk together to Kaiserwasser. There will be a person to collect clothes and he/she will bring it to the Zum Straba. The leg is about 2 km, and we shall meet at 17:30 to allow a comfy swim and be ready to eat by 18:30. For the swim you are welcome to use fins, paddles, any other device of your choice 😉

If you would rather not swim, you can meet us at the restaurant around 18:30. In any case, kindly confirm your participation in the event so we can make a reservation at the restaurant.

This is a sprint distance triathlon for the VIC runners club, friends, and family. Competition for individual starters or relay teams of 2 or 3 people for fun. No fame, no world cup points, just fun.
Optional, you can do an (almost) Olympic distance by doubling the individual distances (2 laps swim, then 2 laps cycling and finally 2 laps running). Please let us know at registration if you want to go for this option.

Dear Swimmers, as a portion of good news for everyone, please be aware that our common meeting/training place, also known as Stadionbad, is finally ready to welcome its visitors. The date when you can start your outdoor swimming season (if not done so yet), is the 1st of May. To learn about the schedule and prices, don’t hesitate to visit the official web page here. Enjoy swimming!

This pasted weekend, Akos, Niki and our captain Marianna participated in the 11th Vienna International Masters Championships. They had a lot of fun, accomplished personal bests on some distances and earned medals! The event details can be found here.
